What We Do
There are two primary reasons that it is important for the continuation and extension of PEP’s current programme.
- Internal: PEP’s implementation of community capacitation and exploration of alternative housing has reached a point where the next logical extension is the development and popularization of affordable, incremental housing based on the technological prototypes and community capacity that PEP has generated.
- 2. External: Policy changes have opened the space for a national housing strategy that is incremental in nature and that encourages alternatives to the conventional single storey, free-standing, four-room brick and mortar house.
